AMD Ryzen 9 3900 and Ryzen 5 3500X launched. The official launch of both processors will create more difficulties for Intel market share as it’s shrinking day by day. However, the processors only available in OEM markets in China right now. According to the leaks which is by a chinese review website its not clear when we will have the processors in retail market.

AMD Ryzen 5 3500X will have 6 processing core and 12 threads unlike the 3600 which have only 6 threads. However, the 3500X will directly compete with Intel’s Core i5-9400F which has 6 cores and threads. In addition, Ryzen 5 3500X will have 3.6GHz upto 4.1GHz frequency. Although Intel is having a tough competition already this will add more pressure on Intel.

AMD recently launched 5700 and 5700 XT. These two GPUs having a 7nm process and competing Nvidia in 1440p GPU lineup. However, AMD is busy in processor making and grabbing Intel’s market share.

AMD announced its RX 5500 series for desktop and mobile use. The new RDNA architecture and 7nm process will provide solid base to compete in 1080p gaming. AMD is going to start filling new GPUs in the market. AMD did not reveal the number of upcoming new Navi based GPUs. This will allow AMD to cover the market below 5700 which is in the market approx $350.

Moreover, the primary goal is to target 1080p gaming. However, the announcement didn’t mean the retail RX 5500 series soon before or near Q4. Above all, today’s announcement represents OEM products. In addition, the OEM product will give similar performance as a retail version unless changed. Furthermore, don’t forget AMD also announced its version Radeon RX 5500M. The mobile version will have similar TDP, frequency, and performance as their desktop counterpart.

The Radeon RX 5500 series will also be qualified “Raise the Game” game deal. The RX 5500 series target gaming at 60 to 90 FPS. in addition, RX 5500 will get boost clock up to 1845Mhz and core clock up to 1717 Mhz. However, these will be 128-bit PCIe 4 GPU’s. Moreover, having features like Radeon Anti-Lag and image sharpening, it will also have 8GB DDR memory. The 5500 series will compete with Nvidia GTX 1650 GPU. AMD claims the series on average is 37 percent than Nvidia’s GTX 1650. The RX series will have around 150W power consumption and 5.2 TFLOPs throughput.

Furthermore, the series will also have new features like the Radeon media engine and display engine. In conclusion, AMD’s claim will be validated when third party benchmarks come after its launch.

Intel announced Intel Cascade Lake-X 10th-Gen high end desktop processors lineup which will launch in November. In addition, team blue’s core-x processors will start from just $590 for its model Core i9-10900X. However, the Core i9-9900X will cost around $989. These prices as compare to previous Intel’s HEDT model offers better price/performance ratio. As for AMD’s Threadripper third gen team blue’s announcement of it 10 gen HEDT processors will give a relief.

We will post a review after the launch of Intel Cascade Lake-X processors in November. The 10th-Gen core-X processors have higher turbo boost and higher clock speeds, supports faster and high capacity RAMS. Above all, Caskade Lake-X also have higher number of PCIe lanes. Unfortunately, increased PCIe lanes will not provide support for Gen 4 SSDs and Graphic cards like AMD’s 5700 series. It will be based on 14nm and Skylake architecture.

The rise in boost and base clock frequencies will result a TDP upto 165W for high threaded applications. Intel Caskade Lake-X will not support PCIs gen 4 but it will support X299 platform consuming four more lanes. Moreover, this will give AMD’s processors advantage over Intel’s lineup on PCIe gen 4 support.

The increased performance of memory goes upto 256Gb and DDR4-2933 frequency. It will also support Wi-Fi 6 and 2.5G’s Ethernet. Other features includes upto 4.8 GHz CPU frequency, deep learning boost and 72 platform PCIe lanes on all SKUs.

Moreover, it will support performance maximize software auto overclocking feature. In addition to that will also have a new feature per core overclocking so you can adjust frequency better per-core. Above all, Intel claims 1.74x to 2.09x increase price/performance as compare to AMD’s HEDT processors.

However, the above new feature’s Intel lacks PCIe gen 4 support and still short in core count against AMD. Further more its on 14nm process. In conclusion  we will see more when Intel launches Caskade Lake-X this November. Let us know what you think below in the comments section.

Intel Optane Memory

Intel’s 660p NVMe SSD is a QLC 3D NAND flash with SM2263 controller. The 660p NVMe SSD has a 5 year limited warranty. It will have 220,000 IOPS/writes, 150,000 IOPS/reads, approx 1.8 GB/s speed and 200 TBW (terabytes written).  DRAM having 1MB/4GB flash with a 2263 controller. It weighs 550mg with 64 layers of QLC flash.It’s a PCIe-3 Gen 4 M.2 2280 NVMe SSD.

Future Roadmap

The 665p will be also a QLC NAND flash with 96 layers and a launch date in the first quarter of 2020. The high end model will have a whopping 144 layers of QLC NAND flash.

The Optane DC will be in-between the NAND flash and RAM modules with up-to 512-GB/stick. It’s like having a RAM which will store data even you turn the PC’s power off. It’s a slow DRAM. In spite of all Intel’s Optane have it’s own position in the market.  Also it’s proven too pricey for the consumer market.

AMD Ryzen 9 the new upcoming High-End Desktop Processor 3rd Gen Threadripper said to be delayed until November 2019.

AMD Ryzen 9 launch statement said by AMD,

We are focusing on meeting the strong demand for our 3rd generation AMD Ryzen 9 processors. In the market and now plan to launch both the AMD Ryzen  3950X .  Initial members of the 3 Gen AMD Ryzen 9 Threadripper processor family this November. I am confident that when enthusiasts get their hands on the world’s first 16-core mainstream desktop processor, and our next-generation of high-end desktop processors. The wait will be well worth it.

The Debut of Ryzen Threadripper-3000 processors is rumored to be Competing the Intel’s rivalry Core-i9 9980-XE in the HEDT processor market. However it will have more efficiency , better boost clocks and good price to performance ratio. In-comparison to Intel’s HEDT processor as AMD is using their chiplet technology . This will deliver more than expected and an edge over Intel in core count. The delay is due to the fact that TSMS’s high demand.  Big clients like Apple, AMD which they are trying to meet demands.

Above all, the main model 3950X rumored to have a Zen 2 Architecture. It will have a boost clock 4.7Ghz, core count 16 with 32-threads and a price tag of $749. The AMD 3rd Gen Threadripper will be reviewed when it will appear in the market. In addition, the AMD Ryzen 3rd Gen Threadripper will consist of 7nm lithography. Similarly AMD Ryzen will have best price to performance ratio, lower TDP. However, we can assume that Intel’s HEDT lineup is going to have a tough time after it will launch.

The IBM 53-qubit quantum computer will debut in October. In New York State’s center of quantum computation. It is said to be consists of 80 institute’s. It will support over 160 thousand customers, researcher’s and different labs

Our strategy, since we put the very first quantum computer on the cloud in 2016. It was to move quantum computing beyond isolated lab experiments into the hands of tens of thousands of users. Director at IBM Research, said.

There are as much as 14 million cloud-based experiments will run on quantum computers of IBM. However Opening the door for future experiments complex computation. Above all, task’s machine learning, AI, weather forecasting and much more.
