Intel announced Intel Cascade Lake-X 10th-Gen high end desktop processors lineup which will launch in November. In addition, team blue’s core-x processors will start from just $590 for its model Core i9-10900X. However, the Core i9-9900X will cost around $989. These prices as compare to previous Intel’s HEDT model offers better price/performance ratio. As for AMD’s Threadripper third gen team blue’s announcement of it 10 gen HEDT processors will give a relief.

INTEL CASKADE LAKE-X FEATURES
We will post a review after the launch of Intel Cascade Lake-X processors in November. The 10th-Gen core-X processors have higher turbo boost and higher clock speeds, supports faster and high capacity RAMS. Above all, Caskade Lake-X also have higher number of PCIe lanes. Unfortunately, increased PCIe lanes will not provide support for Gen 4 SSDs and Graphic cards like AMD’s 5700 series. It will be based on 14nm and Skylake architecture.
The rise in boost and base clock frequencies will result a TDP upto 165W for high threaded applications. Intel Caskade Lake-X will not support PCIs gen 4 but it will support X299 platform consuming four more lanes. Moreover, this will give AMD’s processors advantage over Intel’s lineup on PCIe gen 4 support.

The increased performance of memory goes upto 256Gb and DDR4-2933 frequency. It will also support Wi-Fi 6 and 2.5G’s Ethernet. Other features includes upto 4.8 GHz CPU frequency, deep learning boost and 72 platform PCIe lanes on all SKUs.
CASKADE LAKE-X PERFORMANCE CHART
Moreover, it will support performance maximize software auto overclocking feature. In addition to that will also have a new feature per core overclocking so you can adjust frequency better per-core. Above all, Intel claims 1.74x to 2.09x increase price/performance as compare to AMD’s HEDT processors.
However, the above new feature’s Intel lacks PCIe gen 4 support and still short in core count against AMD. Further more its on 14nm process. In conclusion we will see more when Intel launches Caskade Lake-X this November. Let us know what you think below in the comments section.
